The Bennachie Colonists and even some people today, believe that the very first cuckoo, in April/May, to arrive from Africa to Bennachie perches on the top of this stone and sings!

This large stone is next to the ruins of a colony house and was used as a Commonty boundary stone.
Jock o’ Bennachie the giant that lived on Bennachie may have thrown this stone! Can you see his fingerprint?
